How do I bake my any of my loaf cakes in my loaf pans, it tends to burn on the sides and bottom - the crust becomes thicker. The middle of the loafs always bake slower than the rest of the cake....HELP!
Yesterday's gone and Today is going fast, Tomorrow is all we have, Until it to has passed
Jazz, I don't know how to tell you this, but it's not you, it's your oven. I had an oven like that once and couldn't get cakes to come out for anything I did. Bought a new stove with an accubake oven and END OF PROBLEMS. Now everything I bake comes out uniform and perfectly browned and I'm not doing anything differently, but the oven is.
Get a oven thermomoter and check your temp. It sounds like your oven is too hot. Also, the position of your oven rack should be in the middle of your oven.
