Auto populating dates into a common column

Hi Excel Masters

I have a document that lists the dates things are due. I then want to portray that graphically in columns beside it. So the columns show wed Nov 4, Wed Nov 11 etc.

What function do I use to place a "Y" under one of those dates and then it transfers that date to a common column amongst all the other listed tasks?
