auditory hallucinations I am a 57 yr woman who six months ago experienced an auditory hallucination of an American Indian flute and male voice singing as I was drifting off to sleep. It was so real I sat up and tried to locate the source. There were no radios, TVs, open windows. It lasted 5 minutes and was quite pretty. Over the months I have experiened door bells, alarm clocks, train whistels, and a "tink, tink, tink" repetitive sound. These only occur at night in bed about once a month. I have been on Wellbutrin for depression for about 15 months. I have been on Atenolol for 5 years for abnormal heart rythms. I do not smoke or drink or do any type of drug. No epilepsy or other neurological conditions have been diagnosed. What could cause this?
