I have an old home with no insulation in the attic. The attic has a floor so I can't insulate between the beams under the floor. Every thing I've read so far says that the insulation should go under the attic floor to help keep heat in the living space. Is it okay to put insulation between the beams in the ceiling since the beams are exposed? I'm not very handy and I would be very uncomfortable trying to pull up the attac floor.
