Ask Eric Stromer a question here.  I have an old cast iron tub that is in excellent physical shape but has horrible blue daises that someone glues on it for slippage.  The tub needs some brightening.  Also, I have an old terrazo floor that looks like the tub.  DULL! HELP!!

There are several mastic solvents available that should help.  Orange Blossom is one of them about $9 a quart.  A conpany that services the flooring industry has several products that you could also try aquamix.com. (Sealer and Adhesive Remover).  You should carefully scrape as much of the flowers as possible off before using the solvents..  I'd use a hard plastic knife or scraper.  On the floor, have you thought about sealing it with a masonry sealer.  That can give it a sllight luster and darken the tiles a little.  Amteco makes a couple of products that may help you.  Make sure you read and follow instructions as some of the products are flammable.
