Metal ware Lerche I have a oval shaped pitcher ...

Metal ware Lerche I have a oval shaped pitcher with hinged lid. Merman handle, tail swirls around pitcher. Signed with what appears to be L. Lerche and etain garanti PUR on the bottom. Looks to be pewter maybe. Can anyone tell me any thing about this pitcher/creamer?? Would very much appreciate it. Thank you!
