Advice on Renovation it Italy

I am looking to buy a home in Le Marche Italy and I am looking for any advice on how to project manage a renovation farm house. In my experience over recent years I have encountered numerous problems with agents who just see you as a big money earner . Not only do they want to take commission for conducting the sale, they also want to exploit you to the full for renovation at prices that are extortionate.

Can anyone offer any advice or has had any experience of DIY.

You haven't lived until you've traveled.

Sorry, but I've never bought property in Italy. I would suggest getting a realtor and getting multiple checkable references. Good luck!
