Adding to an existing tattoo?

i have a tattoo that i really like on my left shoulder, its a maple leaf,im thinking about getting it added to,i was wondering if it is possible to have a puzzle design put over it to incorporate it still? also is it tru that if i get a maori design and it is not done by a maori artist then it is disrespectfull?

Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons.

The issue of a Maori tattoo is discussed in this web site. http://tattoo.about.com/cs/articles/a/maori_tamoko.htm Briefly, they believe in the following: "Copying a Maori's Ta Moko is nothing less than identity theft. It's disgraceful and it's immoral. The only difference is that the Maori really don't have any recourse against anyone who is thoughtless enough to rape them of their individuality."  As far as the first part of your question, I would prefer to let someone else answer the your question.

The puzzle aspect depends on what sort of puzzle you want to cover it with and how large your existing tattoo is; can you send more info?
