92 corvette AC not coming on?

my ac on my 92 vette is not coming on. The guy I bouth it from was told it was the Temp Control Switch. Could this cause it not to turn on the compressor? If so where is the temperature control switch on a 92 corvette? I have been searching tech manuals but none of them show this switch.

If you dont Know for Sure Always ask for help even if you have to Swallow your Pride

1st check tomake sure the wires to your ac pump are clean and that the wires to the pump are plugged on to the pump and down o the whole way,i bought a car yrs.ago said the ac didnt work here they didnt have the ac pump plugged in the wires to the pump were off and wrapped around other wires so as soon as i cleaned the metal clips where the plug went on and put the wire plug back onto the ac pump it ran perfect.A DUH,a little hard to have cold ac air if the plug isnt on the pump, also check EVERY FUSE related to the ac inside your car as well as the fuses under your hood. Also i do alot of online searches for stuff like your problem you'd be suprised what you could find i do find too alot of motor head sites you can find alot of info on these sites and ansers to your questions. But make sure wires are plugged onto your ac pumpand the connections are clean putt it off and clean any metal contacts with sand paper.aalso sometimes evn if it looks like it's plugged ionto pump stillpull it off and clean things and replugit onto pump, there are times that if someone was tinkering under the hood they could have bumped the wirs to the ac plug and it could have loosened them enough where the plug/wires arent the whole way down and tight if that's the case it wont be making proper contact nd wont work so i always pushdown on things like this to make sure any plusg/wirs are snappd the whole way down properly.Jim
