royal aca trying to find info on artist alphen erna v studied at royal in 1900 dauter of dutch nobleman
Mike. I have purchased a piece of art by Erna Van Alphen. Have found a Michael Van Alphen And a Erna Vamos (1904) but no bibliography was available. All i know about my piece is that i purchased it off the grandson of a lady that immigrated to Australia at the age of 85. Will try to contact him again. He did say he thought the painting was about 100yrs old (it looks it). It is absolutely gorgeous. Still life. Flowers. Borderline "impressionist". It has been well framed. The frame is also gorgeous. Please update your info. What is royal aca? Studied at "royal" WHERE in 1900? Dauter = Daughter? Where did u get info re dutch nobleman?
