What kind of oil and how much. There is no "dip stick" so how high should the oil be from the bottom of the crank case for a 1987 husqvarna 500, 2 stroke water cooled dirt bike, I think it's a CR.

hello John Vorres here . First of all there isn't any true crancase oil n the traditinal sence. the engine is lubricated either an oil injection pump or by mixing gas and oil. howeveever the transmision needs oil and in most cases the clutch. look to see if there are lower and upper oil drains and fillers the upper in many cases will be the fill limit. on many motorcycles by the trans fill cap there will be either stamped or raised othe engine case the volume should be printed and if so one can refill with the proper amount. please feel free to call @ 269 330 2128 J
